cloud filling stitch... or lack of!

I have spent quite a while today trying to find how people have used the hand embroidery cloud filling stitch on, well, anything, and I cannot find any!

I'm not sure whether I'm keen yet, I think it looks a bit like pink fishnet tights which is not so good!

at the moment...

I am working on my personal project just before I leave for summer. I love working with peoples faces and free machine embroidery.

here is a simple applique' piece of my brother and my Grandad, this makes the project more personal for me....
